I had a highly concerning experience today with a massage therapist from Big Toe Yoga. As someone who has received professional bodywork for years, it was immediately evident that the therapist provided a substandard and potentially unsafe experience. I have serious concerns regarding her professional licensing in the State of Georgia based on the following:• Hygiene & Safety: The therapist’s fingernails extended past her fingertips and were repeatedly digging into my skin throughout the session.• Lack of Technical Skill: She demonstrated a lack of basic anatomical knowledge, specifically by massaging ligaments directly, which caused significant physical pain. It was quite evident that the therapist was simply “winging it”.• Professional Standards: She failed to follow standard draping protocols and never once checked in regarding pressure or comfort.I have asked the company for the Full Name and Georgia State License Number for this therapist so that I may verify her credentials with the state board.
