My Experience with Binghatti – A Total DisasterBy M.AL QaisiI want to share my personal experience with Binghatti, specifically their Binghatti Azure project. Unfortunately, it has been nothing short of a disaster from the very beginning.We purchased an off-plan apartment in October 2023, with the promised handover in December 2024. At the end of December, we were told there would be a short delay of “one to two months,” and as a form of compensation, they returned a very small portion of money – which we accepted in good faith.However, after that, we were completely ignored. For over seven months, we received no updates, no follow-up – nothing. We had to reach out ourselves, and only then were we told the building was “ready” for handover.The Day of the Handover – A ShockWhen we arrived at the building, we couldn’t believe what we saw: • The hallways were filthy • Construction workers were still actively working • Our apartment was not cleaned, workers were still inside when we walked in • Multiple defects everywhere: • A broken tile on the kitchen countertop • Cracked floor tiles • Uneven tiling in the living room • Interior doors didn’t open or close properly • The air conditioning didn’t work at all – which is absolutely unacceptable in this climate • Scratches on the balcony glass • Zement stains in the bathroom due to sloppy construction • Walls were full of dirty marks and smudges • The elevator didn’t work, and my mother – who has knee problems – had to take the stairsIt gets worse. While we were inside our apartment, someone entered our access code and tried to open the door. A Binghatti employee had unauthorized access and entered without knocking. When he saw us inside, he immediately left. That is a serious breach of security and privacy.No Customer Support – Only Empty PromisesWe repeatedly contacted Binghatti about the broken AC, telling them we couldn’t even sleep due to the heat. They promised to send a team. Someone showed up, tinkered around with the device, and left – but nothing was ever fixed.We sent emails. No response. We called repeatedly. No follow-up. Absolutely zero customer support.Major Size DiscrepancyAnother shocking discovery: We measured the apartment ourselves, and it turned out to be only 50 square meters – even though we paid for 55 square meters. A full 5 sqm missing. This is not a small error. It’s misleading, unacceptable, and likely a legal issue.Still No Gas – No ApprovalEven months after “handover”, the building still has no active gas line. Why? Because the gas supplier has not approved the building yet. So how can people be allowed to move in if basic utilities like gas aren’t even operational?⸻We also purchased another apartment in a different Binghatti project (Binghatti Hills), but after this nightmare, we have already decided to sell it immediately. There is no way we will deal with Binghatti ever again.The quality is shocking, the service is nonexistent, the communication is zero, and the experience is completely unprofessional.
