I have been a loyal customer of the company for years, with my pantry filled with their products. Two weeks ago, I opened five bags of basmati rice consecutively, and each one had a weevil infestation, all dated 2027. I contacted the company, and they initially claimed my experience was an isolated incident after checking with their production facility. However, if you look at the reviews on the platform where I purchased it, you’ll see that this has been a persistent issue. I followed up again, expressing my dissatisfaction and sharing screenshots of the reviews. They responded saying they would investigate further, but claimed their Quality Control Manager found no issues with the batch, attributing the weevils to typical agricultural pests sensitive to organic products. I believe weevils are unacceptable in food, and according to the Food Standards Agency, they agree. They will be my next point of contact. I will never buy this rice again, and I am disappointed with the response from a company I once respected.
