Review Time
I have been a loyal customer for years, with my pantry filled with many of their products. Recently, I opened five bags of basmati rice, and each one had a weevil infestation, all dated 2027. I reached out to the company, and they initially claimed that my experience was an isolated incident. However, after checking reviews on the platform where I purchased it, it's clear that this has been a recurring issue with others reporting similar infestations. After following up, I expressed my dissatisfaction and even shared screenshots of the reviews. Their response was that they consulted with their Quality Control Manager, who found no quality issues with that batch. They claimed the insects were expected in organic products. I do not believe having weevils in a product is acceptable, and based on the guidelines from the relevant food safety authority, they would likely agree. I will be contacting them next. I will not purchase this rice again, and I am deeply disappointed with the response from a company I once respected.
I have been a loyal customer of the company for years, with my pantry filled with their products. Two weeks ago, I opened five bags of basmati rice consecutively, and each one had a weevil infestation, all dated 2027. I contacted the company, and they initially claimed my experience was an isolated incident after checking with their production facility. However, if you look at the reviews on the platform where I purchased it, you’ll see that this has been a persistent issue. I followed up again, expressing my dissatisfaction and sharing screenshots of the reviews. They responded saying they would investigate further, but claimed their Quality Control Manager found no issues with the batch, attributing the weevils to typical agricultural pests sensitive to organic products. I believe weevils are unacceptable in food, and according to the Food Standards Agency, they agree. They will be my next point of contact. I will never buy this rice again, and I am disappointed with the response from a company I once respected.
I paid for 3–5 day shipping, but my order was not dispatched until five days later. When it finally arrived, only half of the items were included, and the ones I received had very short expiry dates that were not disclosed at the time of ordering. Attempts to reach out to the company regarding the delay, missing items, and undisclosed expiry dates went unanswered. The lack of communication, along with misleading shipping claims and an incomplete order, reflects extremely poor service. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company. There are significant issues with reliability, transparency, and customer care that need urgent attention.
I took advantage of a promotion on olive oil and ordered several bottles. Four days later, I received an email stating I had ordered too many and that they would not send all of them. I have yet to receive a refund. I typically buy their cherry juice, but I won't be doing so again.
I am giving one star until I receive a positive resolution regarding my request for a refund for three bottles of pressed pomegranate juice, which tasted off, had black bits, was a brownish color, and caused me significant stomach upset and nausea. I have used pomegranate juice for years after living in the Middle East, but I had never encountered a product this foul. It is watery and certainly not ‘very concentrated’ as claimed. It made me ill after just two glasses. Beware.
It has been six days since I placed my first (and last) order with the company. I received incorrect tracking information initially, and the current tracking still provides no updates on when (or if) I will receive my order. It's unfortunate that I would rather purchase directly from the company than through a large corporation like Amazon. I hope this is not indicative of the typical customer experience, as their online business may not survive long if it is.
If you were fortunate enough to receive your order undamaged, don’t assume the same will happen next time. Many customers, including myself, have reported leaking bottles with loose lids for the past two years. Unfortunately, this feedback seems to be ignored. I received a soaked box just yesterday, stained with juice and containing only half of a bottle. This was not due to transport issues, but rather the manufacturer's failure to secure the lid properly.
