Terrible business practices

I, too -- like many other reviewers -- participated in the recall. That was January 2024. I have yet to receive my replacement parts, almost a year and half later. I barely got to use my BlendJet, which was a gift, before the recall was issued, and once I requested my refund, I was required to physically destroy the old parts, so I have definitely not gotten my money's worth. That one smoothie I got to make was pretty expensive!I contacted the company, of course, most recently in January of this year. I will also note that, after ordering the replacement, I almost immediately got an email informing me of a "delay," followed by 6 months of no communication, until I reached out to check on the status of the order and was told to just be patient. Then radio silence again for another 6 months until this January when I contacted them again.The response this time was that they hadn't received the replacement parts yet. That would be annoying but somewhat understandable, except that they continue to sell the product. They have what they need right there, in stock, they just refuse to send it to those of us who already paid our money. When I asked why they can't just use some of the new product to fulfill these recall commitments, the very unsatisfactory response was simply that the replacements are "manufactured separately." I still fail to see why that would matter, if they are the exact same product, but I got no response at all when I questioned that. (And no, I wasn't unreasonable or abusive in my email. I was obviously unhappy, but I also tried to be as professional as possible and made it clear that I did not blame the customer service representative I was dealing with at all since they likely didn't have anything to do with these kinds of decisions.)So basically, what I guess the company is saying is they don't care at all if their product is functional, as long as they get your money.Please, don't fall for it.(Also, I see that on the BBB website and on the recall section of BlendJet's own website, they claim to have gone out of business as of May 2025 ... but their website is still live, with people apparently still able to make purchases there, and no mention of shutting down anywhere else on the website or their social media. 🤨
