BlueCare Cairns has been extremely disappointing. The organisation is entirely focused on money, KPIs, and metrics rather than genuine client care or meaningful support for staff.Travel time between clients is unrealistic, leaving workers constantly rushed, and a significant amount of work — especially documentation — is expected to be completed unpaid.Neighbourhood Leads and office staff have no clinical background, and support for frontline workers is virtually non‑existent. The culture is appalling; instead of collaboration, you’re met with defensiveness, micromanagement, and subtle attempts to push you out. The environment quickly becomes toxic.Leadership is non‑clinical and lacks understanding of client health needs or the realities of community care. Pay is low, workloads are huge, and expectations are impossible.Management is disengaged from what actually happens on the ground.Multiple ongoing complaints raised with the Aged Care Commission.
