Bluespace Storage Telheiras in Lisbon refuses to pay insurance for robbery at their facility

Bluespace Storage Teleiras in Lisbon is a terribly unsafe Storage Company. Our entire unit was not only robbed, the thieves took their time ripping open and smashing each box in a large unit. From the outside the lock (which we purchased from Bluespace) appeared intact, so we could not figure out how they got in. But the cylinder part where you insert the key fell out of the bottom of the lock into my hand after it was opened. Our initial reaction seeing the mess was that a wild animal must have broken in through the cage covering the ceiling of the unit. Each and every box looked as if it had been jumped on. The tape was still in place on each box, and there were large holes punched into each box. A lot of valuable items were stolen. It must have taken the thieves a very long time to punch holes in each and every box, unnoticed. Still - no one at Bluespace thought to check the video surveillance. Which is odd because in fact multiple units were broken into. We know this because some of our items were actually found in the unit across the hall from our unit. Bluespace put these "mystery items" in a separate smaller unit, saying they did not know whose they were. Inspite of having a video surveillance system. BLUESPACE claims they erase the video monthly, which sounds unusual because most people do not visit their storage units monthly, so how would anyone know whether they had been robbed or not until they go to their unit?On the positive side, the site manager and staff who worked at both Bluespace Telheiras and Bluespace Massamá (which we used previously and had a good experience) were all extremely helpful. They helped us repack all our boxes, and moved them into another unit in another facility. We still appreciate these men and all their help. We filled in all the required paperwork, sent it to the Bluespace Insurance company which we purchased through Bluespace. Now…after waiting patiently for 9 months, to allow the proper people at BLUESPACE Portugal time to contact us, after many e-mails from us -- we have had zero response from the proper authorities to come to a resolution. No one has responded, no one has said one word to us, let alone paid us the insurance money they owe us. We have been completely left in the dark as if they hope we forget about the entire thing. I am frankly at a loss as to what to do next. I would have assumed something this shocking, and as important as security in a storage unit, would be at the top of the Bluespace Management team, PT CEO David Raya, the Operations Manager Ingrid Vives, the CFO Cristina Nogues. However inspite of my CCing multiple people in e-mails not even the PT General Site manager has responded to us. And certainly no word from the Bluespace Insurance company. We contacted the police, filed a report, and have STILL heard nothing from the proper authorities of Bluespace Portugal. It is unfortunate, because we had a very good experiece the prior year with Bluespace Massamá in Lisbon, who at that time had an excellent Office Manager. This is the only reason we agreed to use Bluespace Tellheiras this past year. We have been repeat customers, and referred Bluespace to friends who became customers. So, STILL WAITING… Open to ideas, suggestions!
