I used Blu car rental for my time out in South Africa and at the time of making my booking I chose the "full insurance package" and to include a sat nav, which was included as a free optional extra when I booked.I was told that I would have to pay R3,075, plus any toll road charges, at the time of booking, but everything else was included. However, since returning to the UK, I have been charged R4,500, which is nearly 50% more than I should have paid.I have complained to they directly and explained the situation, to which I have not received any satisfactory resolution. They have decided to add on charges for Tyre damage waiver, hail damage waiver, minor damage waiver, glass waiver, CDW and TLW fees without my consent all of which I never agreed to or should have been included in my rental price.I mean seriously, hail damage waiver... in the middle of summer?!?!On top of that they have also charged me for the Sat Nav rental even though it was included for free as an optional extra at the time of making my booking. I would also recommend not bothering with their sat nav as I was unable to use it anyway due to the thing being prehistoric and unable to find the location I needed to go to.Overall these guys are scam artists and will just help themselves to your money and there is nothing you can do about it.I used first car rentals for the second half of my trip in South Africa who were much better and I was charged the correct amount, with no fuss. Don't ever use BLU car rentals. You will regret it!!
