Went to B&M Stevenson - had never used that store before but was on my way home and knew I wouldn’t make my local branch time-wise. Picked up almost £80 of Christmas decorations - having spent more than £200 this week already. Time was 7.30pm Thursday 11th December as I approached the till laden with items, I noticed that one of the boxes of tree beads I had picked out were damaged and as I had so much stuff in my hands and was next in line to be served I asked a member of staff who was stacking shelves by the till if she could possibly replace them for me so I didn’t hold everyone else up. She stares at my blankly (like I was disturbing her) then says in a rude indignant tone ‘where are they’ 😳 I almost said ITS YOUR JOB TO KNOW WHERE STOCK IS - YOU WORK HERE??? but politely said ‘round the corner in the first Christmas aisle’ she sullenly put her hand out to take the box from me and put out and pissed off… so I said ‘listen just forget it’ and she went back to packing her shelf! I told the cashier and she said ‘yeah we get some staff who will help and others who won’t’ I was like ‘WHAAAT’ 😳One of the items she was ringing through has no code on it so she shouted the same person (dark hair in a penny tail, heavy physique) if she could go find a code. Same response - where are they? 😳When she eventually came back she complained they were ‘all the way over there’ (clearly very annoyed that she had to walk further) and made this very obvious whilst looking at me - THE CUSTOMER ! What is going on? Who is training these people? Why should clients be treated like this !!? I’ll look forward to a response and an apology!!!!!!!!!!! Livid!
