Review Time
This is my 13th year of eating at Bob Evans and this is the year that I noticed a lot. I understand that the prices are getting high but why is it that the taste satisfaction it's not there anymore???
Anyway. Bob Evans now is a waste of time and money. It's like people are just throwing their money away.
The serving size of their menu is too small, yet, the cost is so high. The disappointing part is, it doesn't have an inviting/satisfying taste anymore. Basically, what I paid was just nothing.
A week ago, I ordered steak tips. I thought, they were good but nope. It's rubberized, chewy which I wasn't expecting with that.
This time, I ordered a platter of fish and I thought, they would give me a good meat of fish, but then, it was breaded fish that doesn't have enough meat in it. I'd say, Gortons fish with 9 counts in the bag that walmart sells is a lot better.
I'm just sharing my experience, so, people would aware of these.
Received my order via Uber Eats. Ordered pancakes (undercooked), sausage (old/overcooked), eggs (just okay, lacked flavor), country potatoes (odd chemically taste, overcooked, old). I had high hopes for this order being my first order delivered by Uber. It was not sealed for safety as I thought it would be and it was awful! I called and complained to the manager. She said she would report the complaint to her regional manager. Bad food/high prices just seem to be the norm these days. No pride taken by the restaurant or employees. Very sad. Disappointing.
Not enough servers and cooks. It makes us feel like you don't really want very many customers. Bob Evans used to be busy all day long 20 -25 years ago. What the he'll happened. Executive management must suck to let the franchise fall as low as it has. Either get better or close the doors!
My family visited Bob Evans July 19 2025 on Highway 27 Davenport Fla. We were in town on vacation from Georgia and wanted more of brunch than breakfast. We had a party of 18, we understood we had to wait..we waited, NO PROBLEM! we were told they were putting a big table together only to get around the corner to be split up all across the restaurant and walk back and forth tending to kids and sorting out food. 3 different waitresses who seemed to have stuffy attitudes. Good took forever, missing food. Checks all split up wrong. Food portions sucked for the prices we paid. The host was the only friendly person we ran into, i didn’t get her name but she was a young black lady with long red hair thank you for greeting everyone and maintaining a smile when faced with large groups of people. If i lived in Davenport Fla i probably wouldn’t return to this establishment. Out of 18 people only 5 were satisfied.
What’s there to tell?Hostile/Toxic work environment, harassed daily about my weight, appearance/scent, disabilities and work speed. Management does nothing. I face verbal abuse constantly from a coworker and I get either ignored or disciplined for defending myself.Overworked and paid little, no help whatsoever. Expected to be speedy when physically impossible. The work schedule is a joke, no hours or respect to employees who have worked for 5+ years, all hours always go to new hires which are usually immigrants. I usually work 5-6 hours, 1-2 days a week at minimum wage. Work schedule days are completely random and change often which makes planning for other things chaotic and nearly impossible throughout the week. Yay for guessing games!Usually work till after 10pm and expected to finish everyone else’s work. Forced to miss public transportation and always have to rely on either uber services or managers who feel generous enough to offer a ride home. No breaks ever, no chance to eat anything. At least fountain drinks are free for employees, able to survive on cola during my shifts. Other employees drag their feet then dump everything last min, they don’t scrape off plates and throw garbage in with the silverware tray. They don’t sort dishes and toss them wherever. Makes my job harder.The establishment is very filthy, to the point where there are roaches in the kitchen and dish area. There’s also sewer problems constantly.Food tastes good when made right, but often expired ingredients are used. 🤢Bob Evans used to be good but due to greed and corruption/favoritism it’s all going downhill in a crater and fast. I seriously advise against working for them, I probably wouldn’t eat here either. Not anymore since there’s roaches and filth amok. Eat at your own risk ⚠️ Even McDonald’s is probably better.
We always go to the Bob Evans in Johnson City on Boone's Creek Rd. They have a wonderful staff daily. The staff is kind, helpful and attentive. The food is very good and plentiful. I had heard that a customer gave a bad review because the ceiling tiles needed to be replaced. Maybe this person should be looking down and enjoying the great service and good food. Some things are much more appreciated at eye level.Dennis
