This site is a nightmare to sell on. When you sell an item they charge a 10% success fee. That I can live with but the story does not end there.Bobshop charges its sellers for shipping costs which is unheard of anywhere else. Shipping costs are always attributed to the buyer. They charge R60 and then (oh so kindly) give you a R30 "rebate" so every seller has to cough up R30 per item shipped. If they need R60 per item for couriers they need to charge the entire amount to the buyer instead of pretending that the buyer gets a great bargain by paying R30 only while the seller gets nailed with the same amount. Most people do not possess a printer so we have to go to postnet or some other place to print out bobshop's waybill. Woe betide you if you open two shipping orders by mistake because you might have downloaded the waybill at home and again at postnet (there should be a failsafe mechanism in place to stop this from happening because how on earth can you have two shipping orders for the same item?) because bobshop will charge you for shipping fees again so now you will pay double for shipping (AS THE SELLER!) This design is underhanded and very sneaky and obviously put in place to make bobshop as much money for nothing as possible. Because of these hidden costs and fees the seller has to pump up his price to try to make a profit which lowers the chances of selling the item. These guys have a long way to go before they can be viewed as a decent South African selling platform, the trouble is that they have little or no competition so they don't have to change these predatory tactics.
