Purchased a beautiful GMT Rootbeer and paid a fair gray market price. However, the trade-in amount on my Milgauss was subpar. I was provided a sight unseen estimate via email, which was low but since I had become so excited about the new purchase I agreed to send my Migauss in for an official offer as a trade for the Rootbeer. The next day, I received a phone call and was told that my watch needed a new crystal and conditioning and could only be done by Rolex...and she went on to say than the final offer was $1500 less than the estimated offer. Because I did not want to go thru the process of having my watch shipped back to me and the fact that I was so excited about the new GMT...I accepted the offer. In sum, I don't feel like there was a fair negotiation and there was a bit of bait-and-switch on the trade in. But I love the new GMT.
