I am beyond frustrated after a disastrous experience trying to get to Gare du Nord this morning. I prebooked a ride specifically to ensure I’d arrive by 5:45 AM to catch my Eurostar to Amsterdam, but Bolt’s service was an absolute train wreck.
Everything started falling apart shortly before my pickup when the app suddenly switched my driver. I watched the map as the new car sat completely still, making no effort to move in my direction. When the pickup time finally passed and I reached out to ask where they were, the app just spiraled into a "dead loop" of searching for a new driver before eventually cancelling on me entirely.
To make matters worse, their customer support is an absolute joke. You can’t get a hold of a real person when you're stranded; instead, you’re forced to argue with a useless AI bot that spits out the same scripted BS answers. No real help, no genuine apology, and not even a voucher for the massive stress they caused.
The prebook feature is a fraud that offers zero actual security, and the reliance on bots shows exactly how little Bolt cares about its customers. If you have a flight or a train you can't afford to miss, stay far away from this app.
