I would give you five stars but don't want you to become complacent and the competition from rival sales companies is always going to be highly competitive and even downright fierce,. Bonhams pick excellent venues for their auction sales, the presentation of the sales is slick and efficient, the items for sale are often interesting, the back up staff seem helpful and the auctioneers are professional but in the main possess that essential ingredient, needed to get a sale going with a swing and that is a degree of humour and banter with the customers, without going over the top and resorting to bad taste. When my car topped the 2016 Festival of Speed Sale I had been advised by a shrewd "man in the Motor Trade" not to use Bonhams because "they are very arrogant" but a six figure sum in difficult times seems to have vindicated my choice of auctioneers despite alarming rates of commission for both purchaser and vendor.
