Found several dead pixels on my Tab X C - reply from Boox: Unlike LCD screens, E-Ink screens operate by manipulating pigmented polymer particles sandwiched between two layers. The top layer is transparent, reflecting light directly back to your eyes, while the bottom layer contains electrodes that arrange these particles into text and images. This technology is specifically designed to provide a paper-like reading experience, which significantly reduces eye strain. It is important to note that variations such as bright spots, white spots, or "dead" pixels can occur with this technology. These are not uncommon and are indeed found across E-Ink devices.According to the guidelines provided by the E-Ink Corporation, the pixels displayed in your device fall within acceptable operational standards. For your reference, we have attached the E-Ink company's screen standards documentation. This outlines what is considered normal variance in screen quality. We understand that you may not be satisfied with the pixel. As compensation, we are more than willing to issue a partial refund of €40 for you if you can kindly keep the device. Please let us know if this would be OK for you.
