I visited a kitchen store today with my wife to look for new knives to replace an old set that was past its prime. We were assisted by a knowledgeable representative who took the time to explain the various options from Germany and Japan, and even let us try the knives on real food to gauge their performance. We left with three new knives. What an impressive kitchen store! It was refreshing to be helped by someone so passionate and skilled in their trade. The customer experience here was far superior to what you'd find in a typical retailer - I highly recommend it.
