I had been looking for a decent pair of leather, waterproof walking shoes, since a previous pair had been bitten by a sharp root in a dark wood (festina lente!!). My previous supplier had a pair which looked OK and were allegedly heavily discounted, but then I discovered Brantano, which had the same boots a full fifteen pounds cheaper - what's not to like? Quickly ordered, they arrived faster than expected and were worn round the house for a few hours .. very comfortable, so I ordered a big new pot of dubbin, to celebrate :-) Boots now have added protection as the dubbin soaked in nicely and I look forward to many happy miles!
