We went to Southbank and I think it must have been a bad day. Service was attentive (sometimes a bit over-attentive) and the room was nice, if loud. There were lots of interesting-looking things on the menu. However, I had mussels and they were not good. Perhaps they were left over from the special offer on the day before I went, but I don't think I've had such poor mussels before (to be fair, I must say that the frites with them were delicious). The mussels were old (definitely not that day's), chewy and gritty. I could probably have forgiven that, but the sauce with them was watery and pointless. Surprisingly nasty. I was very disappointed.
