Went to the Bobbing Apple, Sittingbourne on May Bank Holiday Monday. We were told, very bluntly, that they weren't accepting walk ins for the restaurant despite there only being about 4 people in the bar and 4 tables filled in the restaurant. This was apparently due to a lack of servers, however I counted at least 4, surely that should be enough for just 20 people.Another customer said to us, do what we did, go outside and book a table online, which we did and got a table for 7:15 pm.Went back in and ordered drinks, I was given a bottle but no glass.Sat at our table and then ordered food. The food was fine. Went back at approx 8:30 to order dessert.At 8:45pm we were told, we are closing at 9 pm, so basically, eat your dessert, drink your drinks and get out!Absolutely disgusting service, we felt that they just didn't want to work on a Bank Holiday Monday, so book it off or change your job as that is the nature of the business. Myself and my friend had been at work that day too, me because I work in a showroom and her because she has a blue light job. Don't penalise your customers.
