I queried whether their signage clearly states that the 1-hr paid for starts/ends from when you enter/leave the area not how long you’re in the parking bay. My daughter who is a new young, driver was shaken after an awful ordeal before returning to her car so took a few minutes to compose herself before driving off. I went through the appeals process as per Brewersgate policy to question whether this was clearly visible on their signage and did not receive a personal response to my calls, handwritten letter or emails but an automatic repeat message and increased fine. Impossible to get in contact and then threatened with court action and to be clear, we have never said we wouldn’t pay the initial fine but we were disputing the clarity of their signage. Unfair, unnecessary and stressful for all. Let’s hope the court is happy with all my evidence of following Brewersgate policies and procedures and has this overruled. We will then be taking legalaction against this company and their solicitors for being in breach of their policies and procedures and causing undue stress. Once this is done I will also ensure this does not continue to happen to other hardworking people.
