Some people have had bad experiences with SELLERS but my review is based on BrickLink as a service. That being said there will be shoddy sellers, just like ebay, but just like ebay, it has a review section for seller feedback. Besides, they are owned by Lego now anyway. I digress. Love this service, wish I knew about it sooner. What I use it for is designing my own star wars sets/display pieces using their own Design Studio software (that replaces the discontinued LDD provided by Lego [side note: you can open LDD design files in DesignStudio so you dont have to start again]). I would then export my creation from the software directly into a want list on their website. From there, they have a very intuitive basket system, I like in the UK so I want all my parts to come from the UK so I dont have to pay ridiculous carriage charges or import tax, the website compiles a list of sellers (as few as possible, I have never been lucky enough to get all my parts from one seller) and you would then checkout from there. If it's a good seller, few days later you will have what you ordered and can make what you had in your head. How can it get less than 5 stars? Oh and brick prices are a fraction of what lego charge directly and a LOT more choice (bricks and minifigs they dont even make anymore). Cheeky tip: If you only want one aspect of a lego set (eg, just the bunker from the star wars lego endor set) you can get the instruction online, build it in their software, order the bricks and make it yourself. Thousand time cheaper than buying the full set, especially if they are long discontinued and selling for £200+ on ebay!
