On December 12, I ordered a ham as a Christmas gift, scheduled for delivery on December 19. On December 15, I was informed it would be dispatched on the 18th for delivery the next day. However, on the 19th, I was told by the seller that it had been dispatched. The courier company also assured me it would arrive that day, but it did not. On December 20, the courier indicated it would be delivered that day between 07:00 and 12:00, but it wasn’t. After reaching out to the seller on December 21, I was told it would arrive that day, yet it didn’t. On December 22, the courier promised delivery on the 23rd. By the 23rd, I warned the seller about a potential low rating on Trustpilot, and they then arranged for a new ham to be sent via a different service, which arrived as promised. I can’t comment on the quality of the ham as it was a gift. I gave the seller two stars for eventually addressing the issue after expressing concerns about their reputation. The courier received one star in a separate review due to their failure to deliver. From this experience, I learned to specify alternative delivery options when ordering and to highlight potential negative reviews in case of incompetence.
