I have been a happy Bruce Studios member for a long time, but the changes coming into effect on September 2nd, 2025, are deeply disappointing.The new 20 check-ins per month limit drastically reduces the value of my membership. Many of us joined Bruce because of the flexibility and variety — to train often, explore different studios, and maintain a consistent routine. For active users, this hard cap forces us to either train less or pay more, which feels like punishing loyal members.On top of that, the new strike system is unnecessarily strict.1 strike for late check-in1 strike for cancelations made 12h before class3 strikes for a no-show3 strikes in 60 days = a 14-day suspension unless you pay a feeWhile I understand the need to discourage no-shows, the penalties are excessive, and the idea of “buying out” a suspension feels more like a cash grab than a fair policy.These two changes together shift Bruce from being a flexible, community-focused platform to one with rigid limits and financial penalties. I hope the company reconsiders and listens to feedback from its active, loyal members — otherwise, many of us may be forced to explore alternatives.
