I have been with BT 3 times over recent years & each experience was horrendous. I reluctantly was forced to go back to BT recently as Plusnet no longer offered a VOIP phone service. The switch was smooth & things were ok until they sent me an offer via email/my online account to freeze my price for another year. I tried to do it but their online page had no activation button. I telephoned & used their online chat speaking to more than 8 advisors over 9 hours! All of them tried to pressure me into accepting a much more expensive package, none of them were able to action the deal I had been offered (in writing via email & online) & yet none of them were able to fix the online activation error either. I will never go back to BT again, the stress they impose on their customers is appalling and their practices are dishonest and untrustworthy. I have since been plagued by a load of nuisance calls from unknown numbers - which happens every time I have to contact BT. I have now left and gone to a different provider who is happy to pay for my exit fees
