We rented a vehicle for three days, and while the car was nice, there were two minor scratches noted in the contract. For some reason, they charged 280 euros instead of the 200 euros stated in the rental agreement. Finding the drop-off point was extremely difficult; we ended up needing help from an airport employee. When we returned the car, it was accepted without comment. Three weeks later, I still haven't received my deposit back and have no updates from the rental location. After numerous calls, I spoke with a representative who informed me that the deposit was withheld due to a small scratch on the vehicle. They didn't inform me about this. I requested a photo as proof, but I haven't received anything in the five days since our conversation. I've tried calling every day, but they never answer. I filed a customer service case online, but no one has responded. My only option now seems to be contacting the authorities. This company has terrible customer service; I will never rent from them again. I finally reached customer service, and they shared a photo of the scratch, which looked like it was done intentionally to charge us extra. Unfortunately, I can't share the picture.
