We booked a trip to Egypt via BudgetAir. Our first booking failed — confirmed by their own email telling us "payment failed, please book again." So we did.A few days later, the first failed booking was charged anyway. So now we paid for 2 bookings, while we only wanted (and booked) 1.To make things worse: after contacting support (which is only available via chat — and later via email from a very general, non-personal mailing system), we were told we could only get a refund if we paid €400+ per person in refund fees — even though this was clearly a technical issue on their side, and none of this was mentioned before.And then — magically — a third booking appeared in their communication. We 100% did not create this ourselves. We only tried twice: 1 failed, 1 succeeded. Now suddenly there are 3 bookings — making the communication even more confusing, as they just seem to make up whatever fits their story.In short:2 bookings done by us (1 failed, 1 succeeded)BudgetAir charged us for bothSuddenly a 3rd booking appeared, probably to justify their double charge — which feels completely unfairSupport was cold, unhelpful, and takes no responsibility.BudgetAir might be fine if everything goes right — but if something goes wrong, you’re completely on your own. Very disappointing and unprofessional.Avoid them if you value good customer service (and your valuable money).Still hoping they will show some reasonability — but so far, it’s not looking good.
