Absolutely horrendous. The airline cancelled a flight and moved the arrival date to the next day, so they gave me 6 options to choose from. When I tried to make the change with the airline, they said I have to contact my travel agent: Budgetair. Budget air does not have a phone number, so I was forced to chat. The agent on chat said none of the options were available - when I asked to escalate, they said no manager was available, so I would get a call back in 6 Hours. No call was received. I chatted again the next day, the agent said no options were available. So I escalated to a manager, the manager said I could only get a refund for half of the flight (half?) or accept the flight that they had put me on. Why did the airline give me 6 options, and these guys gave me no options at all. I asked to speak to his manager, he said he no I cannot speak to him. Kept re-iterating that their system said no options. I asked them to contact the airline, they said they are not in the business of doing that. So you're basically being punished by booking to Budgetair. They dont care about the customer at all. They are more interested in telling you no. We spent half an hour and at the end of the call he said I (the customer) wasted 30 mins of his time. They force you into a non-solution. Save your time and effort - stay well clear of some of some of the worst customer service ever experienced, and go somewhere else. Literally anywhere else but here.

Dear BudgetAir Customer Service,

I previously sent a formal email regarding my refund request; however, I did not receive any response or meaningful action.

As a result, I raised this issue publicly on Trustpilot in order to seek assistance and clarification.

Following this, a partial refund was issued without prior agreement or proper explanation. This amount does not reflect the full extent of the loss I have experienced.

In addition, a public response was posted stating that the issue had been resolved, which is not accurate. My case remains unresolved, and I have not received a clear or satisfactory explanation regarding the refund.

For clarity, I am requesting a full review of this case and confirmation of whether a full refund can be issued.

Please note that I am documenting and retaining all communications and actions related to this matter.

I booked with budget air but because of the situation in Meddle east the canceled my flight but they didn’t cancelled my return flight hahah actually I don’t know how will come back if i didn’t go with the first flight??????And they don’t want to change my flight date even if i accept.The customer service not helpful at all. They are like robots they didn’t do anything.I am totally not recommending to book with budget air even if they are les price than others.

Flight cancelled without my consent or any choice offeredBudgetAir cancelled my Qatar Airways flight and immediately processed a refund — without ever asking me whether I wanted a refund or to be rebooked. This is a direct violation of EU Regulation 261/2004, which gives passengers the right to choose between a refund OR rebooking.When I contacted their live chat to demand my rights, the agent:- Refused to offer rebooking despite Qatar Airways actively flying- Refused to refund the full amount, keeping the €24.90 booking fee- Refused to escalate to a supervisor- Could not provide a chat transcriptI then called Qatar Airways directly, who confirmed my booking no longer exists in their system — meaning BudgetAir cancelled it without my knowledge or approval.I am now filing complaints with SGR, the Dutch Consumer Authority (ACM), and disputing the charge with my credit card provider.Avoid BudgetAir if you want any control over your booking when things go wrong.

BudgetAir Cancelled My Qatar Airways Tickets Without Consent - No Explanation or Support

I booked flights with Qatar Airways through BudgetAir, but BudgetAir cancelled my tickets without my consent. This is especially concerning because Qatar Airways is currently allowing flexible rebooking twice at no cost, yet I was never offered this option. I contacted BudgetAir customer service multiple times. Each time they opened a ticket but failed to call back within the promised 24–48 hours, and they have not provided any written explanation for the cancellation.This lack of communication and failure to provide the airline’s offered flexible rebooking option is unacceptable. I will escalate this matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities and will pursue further action if BudgetAir does not resolve the issue promptly.What I expect:- Immediate reinstatement of my booking or full refund.- Written explanation for why the tickets were cancelled without my consent.If you’ve had a similar experience, be cautious and keep detailed records—avoid booking through BudgetAir. I hope BudgetAir improves its customer service and transparency.

No refund from Budgetair while locked up in Doha

We made a Budgetair booking for a flight from Auckland to Brisbane on March 7, 2026 with Qantas.On February 27 we fly from Amsterdam to Auckland with a stop in Doha Qatar. Just before leaving Doha, the war broke out and we are locked up in a hotel in Doha.We informed Qantas and Budgetair in time and asked them to refund the money, so other people can buy our places. Prices had gone up quickly. The answer of Budgetair is really disappointing, NO refund.

Misleading refund confirmation before cancellation – no refund issued

I booked a flight via BudgetAir (through Skyscanner).Before I agreed to cancel my booking, BudgetAir customer support explicitly confirmed in writing that:the booking would be cancelled by them, andI would receive a full refund within 8–10 weeks.Based on this clear assurance, I proceeded with the cancellation.After cancellation, I was informed that the airline had rejected the refund and that no refund would be issued. This directly contradicts what was communicated to me before I agreed to cancel.The amount involved is €316.86 (Booking reference: BA-21083982).My complaint is not about airline fare rules after cancellation, but about the incorrect and misleading pre-cancellation information provided by the support agent, which influenced my decision.I have raised this issue with:ACM ConsuWijzer (Netherlands Consumer Authority)Skyscanner Partner Support teamI am requesting BudgetAir/Travix to review the case based on the pre-cancellation communication and provide a fair resolution.I am sharing this experience to ensure customers receive accurate information before making irreversible cancellation decisions.

The best customer service I experienced

It’s first time I used Budgetair.nl as, my regular travel agency did not deal with the airline that was offering me direct flight. Because of my illness and on my doctors advice, I had to cancel my trip 36 hours prior to boarding. Airline refuse to rebook my flight but Budgetair stood by me and got me same trip on future flight. Poor solutions, slow service

It first went wrong when my flights were rescheduled, no longer meeting the minimum transfer time. Not the fault of Budgetair, but what is, is firstly that I had to call in to alert them of the flight change which THEY first notified me of, and the fact they instead rebooked me with an extra 19 hours and 4 hours transfer time on the flight there and back respectively, refusing to rebook me with the exact same airlines for both legs through Frankfurt instead of Munich for a shorter transfer, even though they were still selling tickets at the same price for such flights.ANA was willing to change my flight to reduce my transfer by 18 hours. I contacted Budgetair to make sure my tickets/receipts were issued properly after this, and after my request was misunderstood twice, for some reason they offered me an alternative flight. I agreed to this, but after three days of waiting for a response and sending one reminder email, I was told that that it was no longer available, and was instead offered flights with a total of 40 hours transfer time. In addition to this, I have now received another email that someone else is again on the case of the FIRST alternative. I don't know why they are trying to rebook me with less than 2 weeks to departure, I don't know why multiple people are trying to solve the same support ticket, with almost every response coming from a different person too, and I don't know why it took 72+ hours and a reminder for them to respond to an email that they labelled as urgent and requested a response for within 24 hours for which I responded within 9, which they then proceeded to tell me was no longer available.Never in my life, also having done many long distance flights, have I had such an experience with any customer support of any kind. I can only sit here and pray they don't cancel or modify my existing booking.Despite the claim of further contact through Trustpilot, I have yet to receive anything.
