Almost a month ago I made a claim for a serious windscreen chip which then developed into major cracks. They sent me to NWG, a company they OWN. At the first attempt they ordered the wrong glass and ended up having to put my old windscreen back in, now with huge, multiple cracks. Another two weeks later, having been told constantly that new glass was on its way, they now admit that they haven’t even heard back from their supplier. This is for a very common, late model VW, not a rare car. If you must go with Budget Direct then take the option that allows you to choose your own repairer or risk getting caught in their web of vertically integrated companies that don’t give a rats if you can drive your car over Easter or not
