What’s the point of having a time slot on the ticket when it means nothing in practice? Four hours just to take an elevator, and another hour to come back down. Pathetic. While Dubai has created world-class attractions, they've ruined the charm through mismanagement. Traffic is chaotic, many shops don’t provide VAT bills, and there are no proper queues at attractions. Over-issuing tickets is common. The desert safari has tarnished the experience. The food quality is poor; it’s better not to serve anything at all. (Please don’t treat tourists like cattle). Dubai still lacks the customer service and management that other countries have achieved. It has a long way to go. I still suggest avoiding the elevator; enjoy the building from the outside in the evening with the light and sound show, along with the fountain show. The observation decks can be skipped; instead, spend that money on nice restaurants with a view of the tower.
