We moved house on the hottest day of the year and have Mark and his team to thank for how smoothly it all went under the circumstances.Mark arrived the day before and packed up our entire flat in a few hours. We were so impressed by how quickly and efficiently he worked. On moving day, the team arrived promptly and set to work straight away. The hoist turned out to be broken so Mark and his team ended up carrying all our belongings down several flights of stairs in 32 degree heat - a job which would usually require double the number of people. They didn't complain at all and still managed to get us out of the flat within 4 hours, even when there were issues getting the sofa out. While we waited to complete on both properties, the team waited patiently in their hot vans, staying in constant communication throughout the afternoon. As soon as we got the keys, they delivered our boxes and furniture in record time. We were extremely impressed and grateful for their care, efficiency and good humour on such a stressful and exhausting day. I spoke to nine different removals companies and was very happy that I chose Burke & Wills to help us with this move. The office team was generally prompt at responding to emails and they helped me prepare for the move. While there were a couple of issues (such as the broken hoist, which we'd paid for 3 hours for and which was only used for an hour when a working one finally arrived several hours late, and a potential excess charge for window removal, which I'd always explained would be required), the removals team itself was faultless. Mark and his colleagues deserve a pay rise!Thank you again for making the move much easier than it could have been.
