Wow! I can’t thank Burke & Wills enough for the experience we had this weekend.Like all moves, they’re never without uncertainty or a bit of unsettledness. However, with Burke & Wills on side, we have just had the MOST amazing experience.First off, we had such lovely communication with Laura ahead of the packing and removal service. She was so attentive and flexible around our situation. For a time, we weren’t sure whether it was going to be a straight move or into storage temporarily, and when the latter was confirmed at the eleventh hour, it was no problem at all. The channels of communication were super open, and we were never made to feel like nuisances.Huge thanks to Liam, Matt and Dave, who were an absolute joy throughout packing day and removal day. They took genuine care with the packing, brought such happy energy amidst the chaos of moving, had a laugh with us, and were incredibly sympathetic to our situation (moving into storage and having to find temporary accommodation until we complete on our new place).We were so touched when they thoughtfully asked whether we needed our portable chargers, left us the kettle for final cuppas, and didn’t mind that we had a couple of last loads of washing on the go. Everything was flexible, easy, and never a problem.As they were removing boxes and dismantling furniture the following day, they were so efficient and even told us to “go and get a coffee” and they’d let us know when the madness was over.To top it all off, in the craziness of packing and moving, somehow one of the bags we needed for our temporary accommodation ended up in storage. We called the team as soon as we noticed, and they very kindly brought it back to London for us.Crazily, I’m actually looking forward to our final move into the new place in a couple of weeks because I know exactly who we’ll have on side on the day. It’s such an enormous relief.Thank you, thank you, thank you to the amazing team at Burke & Wills. You’ve made what could have been a super stressful time feel completely manageable.
B&W performed a minor miracle in moving us to our new home during a highly stressful and unpredictable house sale in October 2025. Mark Pusey and his team showed remarkable flexibility and efficiency--way beyond what we could have reasonably expected, managing to get the job completed on schedule against substantial odds. Subsequent experience of the B&W storage facility in Chessington has proved equally positive, with Sofia Sworder Oliveira and colleagues at Battersea HQ managing access and invoicing for a very reasonably priced container (emptied 5/2/26) in prompt and very friendly fashion. I don't usually leave reviews but this company deserves a good write-up.
Burke & Wills Removals moved my furniture into storage following a flood at my home, and back out once the repair work was completed, a year later.On both occasions the move was carried out efficiently and with care. My furniture was well protected and no damage was sustained.The operatives who carried out the move were helpful, cheerful, polite and considerate. The office staff were equally courteous and efficient, and extremely helpful in accommodating my return removal date at very short notice.I can well recommend Burke & Wills.
I’ve used Burke and Wills for pretty much every house move for > 15 years. They are totally reliable, friendly and professional. My latest move was done by Daniel and the crew who did a great job. The arrangements in the office were done by Billie-Jane who was very responsive and helpful in working out the best way to do things. 10/10.
I booked a 'man and van' for 2 hours or so, These were a fantastic couple of chaps who helped move some heavy furniture items from my house to a commercial store I have nearby. Not only heavy and bulky, but fragile as very antique. I have found that a whole series of small moves, rather than one huge removal makes it so much easier to get things in the right lace, and without the trauma of having load of boxes getting in the way of everything. Might me more expensive, but what price sanity?
We used Burke and Wills to move us from East London to Manchester, this time with an added 2 year old, which went absolutely superbly.From the booking and arranging of the move, to the punctuality, speed and kindness of Karel and his team, and their brilliant attention to detail, everything was a dream and made moving so far as stress free a process as possible. From our very first contact with Billie-Jane, we knew we were in good hands. She was incredibly kind, informative and reassuring, and explained the whole process clearly from the outset, which made a potentially stressful move feel far more manageable.The service was very reasonably priced, particularly given that we were moving from London to Glasgow, which is no small undertaking. On moving day in London, Nick, Pablo, and Josh packed up our flat expertly and with great care. They were efficient, organised and clearly very experienced, but also genuinely good fun to have around, which made a long and emotional day much lighter.When we arrived in Glasgow, Nick and Pablo unpacked our flat and the experience was exactly the same. They were careful, professional and thoughtful throughout, and just great guys to deal with.We honestly could not have been happier with every part of the service, from beginning to end.
