My wife and I faced a truly unpleasant situation with an employee at the local store. We attempted to return a shirt priced at $21.99, for which we had the receipt. Initially, we were informed that we needed the original receipt. After going home and returning with the necessary documentation and tags, we approached the counter with additional purchases. We returned a pair of shoes without tags, which they accepted. However, when we tried to return a long sleeve shirt with both the original receipt and the tags, they refused, claiming the tags were not attached. We asked to speak with a manager, who was also unhelpful. The employee displayed a shocking level of rudeness, asserting she could deny refunds at her discretion. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since the shirt was unworn and within the return policy. We were treated poorly, and the employee's attitude was unacceptable. My wife, who has experience in retail, knows that employees must adhere to store policies. The handling of this situation was inadequate, and I plan to escalate this matter further if it remains unresolved.
