I'm only giving 2 stars because since October 30, 2025 on my son's birthday he wanted a new game NBA 2k26 ,first the password was incorrect, contacted customer service was able to get it fixed. Today due to the weather and all I allowed my son to play and there's a normal software update. Once it's complete, he goes to play the game and gets a message the profile has been banned for violated Microsoft's terms and conditions. I reach out to buygameshop.com via email and was first told to turn the console off and back on and if that didn't work, contact them back. Once this was done, I advised the same message was coming up and then I was told, there was nothing that could be done because the terms and conditions had been violated; howeverwith a copy and paste message reading the terms and violations, which we hadn't done anything. I then responded that there was nothing that was done and was this a scam or gimmick and I received an email stating that there was nothing that could be done, their technical support team checked the profile and it was us not them that was having the issue. I am truly appalled and feel like when businesses take your money for their services and give a lifetime warranty they must be held accountable. I don't care how small or big it is. Not to mention I was referred to as sir. I'm definitely going to look further into this and asked for a corporate contact or someone who can review this further. I had to come back and change my review because customer service was great, they came back and rectified the issue, my son is now able to play his game.
