Visited a local venue last night (Friday) and it was a complete disaster. I've seen bingo events run more smoothly in community spaces. I inquired with the manager about the noise during the games, and he confirmed it was typical. Seriously? It wasn't just a few whispers; there were loud conversations and people on their phones. Absolutely shocking.
Returned again tonight, which turned out to be a major mistake! We started with the early 6-page book, and before it began, the manager warned everyone to keep quiet so he could hear any claims. Yet, it was noisier than a football match. He didn't intervene once while conversations erupted all around him. Save your money; this place is a joke. I even recorded the noise level during the main stage bingo.
If you win while playing paper, they likely wouldn’t hear you over the chaos. Both nights had music playing in the background during the bingo, and when I questioned it tonight, I was told it was "Social Saturday." Yesterday must have been some sort of themed night too! How can a venue expect patrons to participate in bingo when the noise is unbearable, and they add background music on top? It feels like the management has lost control.

Do they have these themed nights in all their locations? Do they allow chatter during games at other venues? As paying customers, we deserve to know about these events, which aren't mentioned on their website. It doesn't say anywhere that attending bingo at this venue means enduring a frustrating evening due to a themed night. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. There’s no vibe, and the staff seem more interested in chatting among themselves. It’s a large venue that barely had 40 patrons at most. Save your money; you'd have more fun with a dental procedure than spending a night here.
