I visited today with the intent of purchasing a vehicle, but the sales representative at the dealership was not helpful at all. He initially assumed I wouldn't be able to afford the insurance and repeatedly brought it up during my visit. After mentioning my insurance several times, he asked my age. I am 21. He remarked about how my no-claims discount must be good since I get cheap insurance. After a lengthy discussion about whether I could insure a car I hadn’t even seen a deal for, I inquired about a test drive to ensure I liked the vehicle, but he denied my request multiple times. I eventually left as he was unwilling to negotiate, and when I mentioned I would look elsewhere, he simply replied, “ok.” It's disappointing that he lost a sale for a larger company where I would have made a deal today.
