I ordered £55 worth of gifts including a personalised item for a dear friend’s birthday. I ordered this 12 days before the my friend’s birthday. I was assured it would be delivered within 4 days. 6 days passed and I called again. They apologised for the delay and said they would refund my postage. I was promised it would arrive at the very latest on the following Saturday.
It did not arrive. I tried to call them but they were closed till Monday. My friend left to go on his travels on that Monday without a gift from me, for his special birthday.

I was absolutely fuming but also extremely embarrassed.

I contacted them on the Monday. They e mailed to say they had refunded my money, which they had in their possession for nearly 3 weeks.
There was a distinct lack of empathy and they certainly did not offer anything in way of compensation for the upset and embarrassment this debacle had created for me.

I emailed them again and they sent exactly the same message in return. It felt like they were doing me a favour giving me my money back.

I emailed again twice on different days explaining my concerns with their attitude and they have not replied.

I would strongly suggest not to trust them either your order or money. They are clearly not competent and certainly don’t care about their customers.

Fortunately my husbands cousin works for BBC watchdog and I am currently in the process of sending the details to them. Apparently I am not the only one with this type of complaint, drawing particular notice to their total lack of care towards failed orders.

Try another company for your online orders. Don’t use Cadbury.
