We have been to Donegal many times with no complaints but this time we all did .We usually sail with Stena from Cairnryan to Belfast ,this time it was P&O from Innermessin .to Larne.Nothing about the journey was as good ,the ship the meals landing in Larne ,please go back to Stena landing in Belfast .We didn't do the usual stop for a break so most of us found it a very long journey from Larne to Donegal without a cuppa .Central is still a lovely hotel however we didn't get any of the things we asked for 6 months ago ,instead of a view of the Diamond square we had the back of a peeling building & a car park .I asked for an easy accessable room for my husband with walking difficulties we were on the third floor along at the end of a corridor with 3 steps going down turn a corner then 3 back up .The blonde woman who seemed to be in charge of the dining room was very rude & service on the last night was so so slow we all left before the sweet as the entertainment started at 8.30 & dinner isn't served till 7,8 on the first night .When people book Southern Ireland it usually means that is where we prefere plus we have a purse full of Euros so why take us trips to towns in the north .Enniskillin had nothing of interest in it & we were all back at the bus way before time but Ballyshannon was worse ,we were nearly all elderly & Ballyshannon is nothing but hills .Why not a pretty little village or the Famine village .We are there to learn about Ireland not to go shopping we can do that at home .Donegal didn't disappoint the people & the music are wonderful .
