I recently purchased a car from Motorpoint with added warranty to the vehicle. We had an issue with the car so we rang the dealer who put us onto Call Assist. They sent out a mechanic to determine a fault on the car. After this I was advised from Call assist to find my own local garage to fix the car. Then after it was fixed I would to get back in touch to see if the warranty would cover the cost. After doing this I was later told by the warranty company that I shouldn’t have got the car fixed as I should have used a garage to which they refer to. I made a complaint to Call Assist also I asked for a reimbursement of the costs as if we were advised properly then we would have got costs covered through the warranty cover. Call Assist have admitted fault however they are not taking the complaint further as they have stated it is the customers responsibility to know which local garage to use. I feel I have been totally mis advised. The experience has been very stressful and it has put me and my husband under financial strain.
