Where to start? Elderly disabled and extremely vulnerable parents in separate properties both Camden Council tenants. In same locality.Totally failed by housing repairs team and mgrs who they have never once seen in 80 yrs of combined yrs as tenants . Despite - or because of- being enhanced tenants with additional needs the council are meant to prioritise and take phone reports but refuse because lets face it, because of disability they cant follow up so why not ignore. Doesnt matter if ceiling has collapsed or front door lock broken . Both left with no heating and hot water for months on end, our mother is targeted by conmen and loan sharks been assaulted in her own home and there has been zero support from the Camden Safety Team ( yes ,they have one). Multiple welfare checks and safeguarding reports raised by concerned emergency services - zero response by social services who tell us they STILL arent doing home assessment visits as working from home. Father has sub standard care package with zero input from social services with the 5th social worker in 5 yrs. Cant manage basic day to day things like keys, money, post, medical appts due to dementia. So everything ends in crisis inc emergency hospital admissions. Camden have always had an appalling attitude towards disabled and vulnerable residents. So many jobs for life workforce - many in the above wkrs been there 20yrs +. Our parents deserve so much better. Never once had an apology.
