Had a booking with their agent Campervan finder and had to cancel as COVID 19 resulted in Australia closing all its boarders. When I tried to cancel the booking with the agent i was told Campervan village was not offering any refunds. After contacting fair trade for assistance the agent offered a partial refund but kept over $500! The reason given by the agent…….'Because I pushed for the refund they are charging us a hefty cancellation fee and only giving us a little bit back. The remaining money + credit we have to cop on the chin and pay out of our pocket to you :(This is honestly the best situation and something that hasn't been provided to other customers. Campervan Village isn't willing to cooperate with the Department of Fair Trading because there isn't much the Department Of Fair Trading can do.'This has obviously been a difficult time for everyone, it is just highly disappointing that these companies would treat their customers in such a way. I would recommend anyone looking for a rental company to find an alternative.
