At the beginning of February 2026 I requested to have my pension payment sent to a NEW French bank account. It has always been paid to my English bank account. I emailed with very specific instructions, with no response. I then rang them. The lady who answered said it could not be done using an IBAN code and that she required the sort code and account number. As French sort codes have a different format, she could not accept it. I rang again a few days later and spoke to a man who suggested I write another email which I did. This time I attached a ‘Payments to an EU bank account’ form and sent it to Retirement Servicing.I received an email saying that the information had been sent to their finance department.Today, 18th March, I find that a payment has been made to my OLD French bank account (which is closing on 23rd March) completely different from the ‘Payments to an EU bank account’ form I had sent them. My payments never did go to that account as they were paid into my English bank account. How they obtained details of the old French account is a complete mystery!I have sent yet another email asking them, very politely, if they will kindly rectify the situation in time for the April payment to be made.I await further developments…
