I purchased a car from car planet in November 2025, a beautiful blue Peugeot GT, I was over the moon with the vehicle, the purchase of the vehicle was smooth and the guy was super helpful and fast. I got the car delivered to my
Home address, the car was all good and well until my MOT in March 2026, it failed on emissions, unusual for a new car. I quickly phoned car planet and the Man told me they would fix it. I waited a day to hear when it was going to be booked in to a garage, but heard nothing, getting through to after sales was a nightmare, hour long wait to be cut off. Eventually when I would get through the guy wasn’t helpful, no progress had been made. He eventually said Peugeot would fix it under warranty, but by the time he had finished faffing the warranty had ran out and everything was put to a stop. 2 weeks I spent with this guy making absolutely no progress. He was as much use as a chocolate tea pot, luckily he no longer works there!! I then got handed over to Malik and Kleo who helped me a lot more than anyone else at car planet. My car got booked in to a local garage but due to the length of time I required a courtesy car at this point, so for some odd reason they decided to go and collect my car from the local garage to take it back to car planet, the man dropped me off a courtesy car, full of dog hair and an absolute downgrade to what I had been driving. Kleo offered me to get the car valeted and I would be reimbursed. The man who went to pick up my car would not show ID, and they had no idea car planet were picking up the car. The garage also had the part to fix my car! So my car went back to car planet. After about a week (4 weeks in total) my car was complete. They didn’t have any time to deliver it for a few days so I drove the dog hair courtesy car to car planet, 2 hour journey, I arrived to cars being drifted around their car park and a security guard at the gate, who took a picture of me arriving for some unknown reason. I eventually got let in and headed to reception, greeted to some man who works for car planet vaping in their office. Eventually Kleo greeted me and took me to my vehicle. He apologised for the service I had been given.
Basically in a nutshell, would I buy a car from car planet again? Probably not. But I cannot fault Kleo and Malik, I truely believe without them my car would never have been fixed and I think without them car planet would go down the pan. I am grateful for all their hard work and I hope they have successful careers (maybe away from car planet). I think if it weren’t for Kleo and Malik I would’ve returned the car and car planet would have a lawsuit on their hands. 10/10 from Kleo and Malik thank you. Kleo and Malik also reimbursed all the fuel money I spent for getting to car planet and back.
From the vibes I perceived at their mega centre I believe car planet have maybe got a little bit too big for their boots. And the owners need to be humbled. Their 150 point check needs to be reviewed and their customer service training needs upgrading. If Kleo and Malik dealt with me from the start it would be a glowing 5 star review, hence the 3 stars. If Kleo and Malik didn’t get involved it would be a 1 star review. I think if Kleo and Malik ran car planet the world would be a better place.
