In November I ordered an iPhone SE 2020. On the website I had the choice to buy a new or used phone. I chose a new one and it costs more. The delivery was very fast and after 3 days the phone was in my hands. The store took care of the packaging, the plastic wrap, everything was perfect. I checked the serial numbers on the box and in the device itself - they matched. But the phone did not pass the check on the Apple website. Apple reported that this device was activated 3 years ago! as early as March 2020. I called Apple support and they confirmed to me that the phone was activated in 2020 and does not have insurance coverage. The phone did not have the letter designation “refurbished”, it was marked “m” (a normal iPhone starts with “m”, factory refurbished “f”). I checked the battery status and it showed 100%. strange for a device that has been used for 3 years. For those who do not know, if a person returns an activated phone via “Widerruf”, if the phone was purchased legally, the store has the right through support to reset the activation date. This meant that Carbon phone tried to sell me a used phone under the guise of a new one, and they carefully covered everything with films (even the inside of the phone had a film, like a new one). The store itself replaced the battery (possibly something else). It is unknown whether this was an original spare part. I’m already silent about security, that any tracking and listening device can be installed there (either hard or software). The store naturally said that they were mistaken. It's up to you to decide whether an honest store would wrap used phones in films like factory ones…
