I wish to make a complaint against Cardiff City Council’s new policy of collecting recycling in the City’s area of Danescourt, my home area.Recent changes involve three new collection boxes to dispose of my items to be recycled and collected by your refuse department. From using the, in my opinion, the green bag policy which was easy to store in my kitchen, put out when full then start a new bag, (a system which suites the saying “’Ain’t broke, don’t fix it”) .These new boxes are too bulky to keep in my house. On my first use of this system my boxes, after collection, were returned dirty, were not my own ones as my area has a communal area to put the recycling products, they had items still in the boxes (which were not of my used products), had bird excrement on them, plus being soiled by being left on the kerbside! To summarise, when Cardiff City Council have there “Useless Idea Of The Year” awards ceremony the group, section or person who suggested this new system will win the award hands down!
