I was automatically enrolled into Opodo Prime when booking a flight in May 2025, with no clear opt-out. I was then charged for a year’s subscription after a “free trial” I didn’t knowingly accept.I tried to cancel within the cooling-off period, but Opodo refused to refund me and falsely claimed I had used a £45 voucher (I haven’t). Their customer service was slow and ignored UK consumer law.I’ve now had to escalate this to Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, and my credit card provider under Section 75.Be very cautious when booking — check for hidden Prime subscriptions.
