I will say this first. Know that Carshield had the Federal Trade Commission file actions against them for false advertising, not honoring their end of the contract, and making real people go broke by charging the customer hidden fees.
I am currently going on 4 months, my truck has been at the dealership, motor is out, the engine that was sent has manifold damage as well as the dealership and adjuster i spoke with today said the engine they approved has significant damage and should just get another one.
3 weeks ago I was on the phone with an adjuster and with the dealership on a 3 way call, so as my witness the dealership heard im going to get an engine with 85,000 miles, I agreed with the service manager from the dealership as my witness. I was also told I will have to come out of pocket to pay the dealership $741 as well as a $1000 deductible.
So the advertising is still lying and screwing people over after settling a $9.4 million lawsuit in 2024 for the same thing they are doing to me and God know who else.
Anyways, back on track. I get a call explaining that the engine with 85k miles ain't available after the dealership and myself were told thats what im getting, nope, there was an engine with 169k. I called and got the run around until finally the adjuster called me back claiming there is not an engine with those miles, theres one with 125k. So I say run it, engine gets approved with an April 2nd delivery date.
It gets to the dealership, dealership tells me that my truck should be done by this week or next. I messaged the dealership yesterday for them to tell me that theres so much pre existing damage to the new engine they're not sure how well its gonna actually work and that they recommend a new Operating engine.
Im disabled, have both mental and physical disabilities and this has done nothing but cause me mental anguish and is bleeding me dry before my truck is fixed and contract honored.
I pay $139 a month to be lied to. Even the rental car advertisement is false. My contract says $60 a day for 7 days. I was literally told $50 till I proved my contract says $60.
Im most likely going to go in to major debt over Carshield not honoring their end of my contract.
This is my experience, and with the proof of a past lawsuit settled in 2024 for false advertisement I recommend people read these reviews, the bad ones first. Because the commercials have already been proven in a court of law to be not true.
This is a complete nightmare and this is just half of the crap ive been told and screwed with.
The Washington post covered the lawsuit and Carshield ripping customers off so theres proof out there that people need before they trust the manipulation of the commercials.
