Disappointing

Disappointing! My husband purchased a diamond bangle for my birthday (22/12) & as a thank you for taking care of him over the past 5 years of on/off cancer treatment. On 30/12 we went to the New Bond Street store to change the size. My husband called before to make an appointment & was told no appointment required & they were open till 6pm. We arrived just before 5.30pm & were very rudely dismissed and told we were unlikely to get served as they had customers in the store and had to close at 6pm. We explained our prior phone call when this could have been communicated. There were no other customers waiting and at least 6 people left the store while we were talking to the manager outside but she was still dismissive and rude. Through persistence and in an unfriendly manner, we were told to come in to exchange the bangle which took all of 10 minutes. The inspection of my original bangle was done in a very arrogant manner. I had been excited to have a Cartier (luxury) experience but sadly far from it. I have received much better customer service at Next buying boots costing less than 0.5% of the Cartier bangle.Good customer service costs nothing and with Cartier prices it should be amazing not awful.
