Repair man arrived on time and immediately set to work on the sofa. Found out that 2 metal straps had snapped. He then had to figure out what to do and came up with attaching a piece of wood with glue and screws to the underside. We were advised not to sit on it for 24 hours which we adhered to and it seems to have worked. Disappointed with the sofa as only 2 years old and had only normal use (we are in our 70's) and we don't have any small grandchildren jumping on it. Hopefully this repair will work.
