I would not recommend Century 21 to anyone. My losses to deal with this agency is 72000€!!! Century 21 Representative, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with the subpar service I received from your agency. I had two contracts with Century 21: one for renting my property and another for selling it. The rental process was protracted, taking several months to secure a tenant, which resulted in significant financial losses. Furthermore, your agent Paulo Florindo failed to properly vet the tenant's creditworthiness, leading to persistent late payments and four months of unpaid rent, totaling $5200 in losses. Additionally, the property sustained considerable damage when the tenant vacated. Your agency also provided inaccurate information regarding the property's condition, stating it was 'very well maintained,' when in reality, false information had been provided. Moreover, the sales contract was handled inefficiently, with no viewings for nearly six months, from October 2024 to March 2025, due to the property being advertised on social media with incorrect addresses. Throughout this process, I was consistently assured by Agent Paulo that he would handle the situation, but his inaction and lack of results were alarming. Due to the problematic payment issues and the stress caused by the tenant's actions, I was forced to accept the first offer, which resulted in a reduction of more than 10% of the original price. I regretfully accepted this offer and reduced the price by €46,000. An offer was accepted in June, and my husband and I traveled from Australia to Portugal for the signing of the sale contract. However, Century 21 failed to finalize the sale, resulting in losses exceeding €10,000. Due to your agency's unprofessional work, I was forced to hire a lawyer to complete the sale, incurring additional costs of €6,000. Given the subpar service and significant financial losses totaling €20,000, I question whether your agency deserves the full commission paid.
