I ordered a new patio door from Champion on May 1, 2023. It was delivered and installed in August 2023. The door was not made properly, and they also failed to install the screen door. They ordered a new door to be made. That was supposed to take another 2 months (till October). I called and was told the replacement door was also made incorrectly and it would take another few months. In December, before Christmas, I was called, and they said the door was finished at the factory and someone would be calling me to set up an installation date. No one called. I called in January to check on the door. I was told someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. I finally received a text that said they were working with the factory to make the new door. I was confused. I called and texted to ask someone to explain what was going on. No one called or texted me. I finally waited on the phone to talk to someone and would not settle for a message that someone would call me back. After several people, I was told that the factory made the door incorrectly again and it would now be March before the door was ready. I talked to a customer supervisor who said they would put a rush, expedited order on the door to get it sooner. I have been told this before. I would like a representative of the parent company to call me and tell me how they plan to make this up to me. I feel obliged to mention that in 2021, I spent over 30,000 to replace all the windows in my house with champion and I am happy with the windows.Talked to Mickey in Call centerAsked for Kristin – Got voice mailChecked for her boss – got Voice mailTalked to Autumn, Mickey’s boss. Someone will call me when ready to install.January 29th. I called again. Amanda called me back. I was told one panel is finished and the other one will be done this week.2/13/24 I called again. Amanda was busy. I asked to speak to her boss. Call went to Voice mail. I asked to speak to her boss’s boss..Call went to Voice mail. Agent will send an urgent email to have them contact me.I finally filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Champion was flagged at the BBB as having really bad customer service.Amanda called back. Factory says it is done. Will put it on the next truck to Cincinnati.2/19/24 Amanda called. Parts should be on the truck tomorrow.2/20/24 Amanda called. Parts were not on the truck. She sent another email.2/26/24 Amanda called and left a message. Parts not in. Will email factory again. Will call.2/28/24 Amanda called. Door on truck to Cincy.2/28/24 Parts arrived. Set up installation for Tuesday, 3/5/24 from 12:00 to 4:00.3/5/24 Door finally installed. Looks goodAt no time did Champion offer any sort of compensation for all my time having to call them over and over for almost a year. In fact, I was told that it is Champions policy to not make any monetary reparation in these cases.Needless to say, I will not be doing business with them in the future and will never recommend them to others.
